While safety eyes are very difficult to remove and are securely fastened, it is not recommended to leave children  with these toys unsupervised between the ages of 0-3 , as it is possible the saftey eyes to be ripped from the yarn, or somehow loosened.

If you are buying a toy that is meant to be handled by a baby we highly recommended going with embroidered eyes.
